Breakfast and dinner, an authentic experience with farm-to-table products
Housed in the original cellar of the Metapontine cooperative, L’Agrumaia is nestled within a charming citrus grove, offering guests a unique culinary experience surrounded by nature. In our kitchen, we don’t have ‘Chefs’, but ‘Cooks’ who prepare Lucanian and Mediterranean traditional dishes using ancient slow-cooking methods. They use our Masseria’s extra virgin olive oil, fresh vegetables from our garden, and all our farm-to-table products.
Our cuisine is reminiscent of grandmothers' dishes, being rustic and authentic. Here, you can rediscover old peasant recipes since the early hours of the morning.
L’Agrumaia is the heart of our hospitality, where the culture of the land meets the wisdom of one of the simplest and oldest culinary traditions.
In the peaceful morning awakening of nature, breakfast becomes the right moment to enjoy our homemade jams and sweets, the intense and fresh taste of summer orange juice, the delicacy of our ricotta cheese and lemon tart, and the aroma of freshly baked bread. Yogurt, a selection of cereals, and savory breakfast are also available.
In the evening, we bring you back to the flavors of our land and sea, with vegetable appetizers from our orchard and a variety of main courses that reinterpret tradition with a modern twist. Our menu changes on a daily basis and offers local seafood, meat, and the freshest vegetables, alongside velvety vegetarian soups. For the little ones, we prepare simple, delicious, and balanced dishes, using seasonal vegetables and homemade pasta, according to the age-old recipes. To finish off your meal, our Inn also offers seasonal fruit and desserts.
